Ranger is a 10yo gelding that came to Dove Creek in April of this year (2025) from an owner surrender. He had a loving family that adored him. Sadly, the wife passed away two years ago, leaving her husband with some incredibly difficult decisions to make. One of the hardest things to finding a new home for his beloved wife’s horse. He contacted us with a very hopeful heart that we could take him in, knowing that we would be able to take the time to find Ranger the perfect family to care for him for the second half of his life. There were many hugs and tears as Ranger’s owner said goodbye.

Ranger is in our training program and making great progress under saddle. He has a few things to learn, and he is willing and aims to please. We will continue to learn more about Ranger to bring him to his fullest potential.
