About Kodi
Kodi (aka Frosty) is a 26-year-old (1999) grey double Registered Arabian/Paint gelding who arrived at Dove Creek in the late summer of 2018 as a surrender from Clovis, NM.
His owner had passed away, and his request was for Kodi to be a “therapy” horse somewhere that had a program helping people with horses as partners. With great loss, there is often a strong familial attachment to the animals of the loved one, and Kodi was certainly loved by his previous owner.
He is an incredible teacher and guide in the Led By Horses program – Equine Assisted Learning – and has helped many people recover from the extreme pain that life can bring us. Kodi can also spot a camera from a mile away and will turn on that Arabian charm and steal the show! Kodi is one of a kind.

Temperament & Training
Kodi will begin formal evaluation and groundwork once his quarantine period is complete. His early interactions show a curious nature, strong awareness, and willingness to connect with handlers. Updates on his progress, temperament rating, and rider suitability will be added as he moves through the program.
