About Dottie

A very kind and caring man reached out to us, hoping to find Dottie a place where she could regain trust, receive additional training, and ultimately find the perfect forever home. Dottie was originally purchased by his son-in-law, who became ill shortly afterward. Wanting to help, he took her in, hoping she would fit into his ranching program. Unfortunately, due to evident past trauma, Dottie proved more challenging than expected. As a mare, she was causing some issues being with his all-gelding herd. We’re grateful to now be able to provide Dottie with exactly what she needs. She has a gentle nature, though it’s clear she hasn’t always been handled with gentle hands.
