About Indian
Indian first joined DCER in 2018 after a kind lady adopted him following his racing career in Louisiana. After spending time in our care and training program, he found a loving home in 2020 with a beautiful family. However, life can throw unexpected challenges our way, and after facing some tough times, the family decided to return Indian to us in the fall of 2022. While this situation is uncommon, we are always grateful when owners choose to bring their horses back to DCER during hard times.
While Indian has developed a spinal issue, likely from his racing days, which makes riding unsustainable for him, he still has so much love to give! This gentle and affectionate soup is incredibly intelligent and is on the lookout for his special person. We truly believe this remarkable gentleman is one of a kind! Once he forms a bond, he’ll follow you around the pasture, melting your heart with his warmth and charm!
